Ashlin Jackson is a native of the Blue Ridge Mountains, is the founder of Focus Pilates and is an instructor at Persevere Pilates and Strength. She enjoys spending time in nature, listening to music, and has a passion for movement. Ashlin has a background in competitive cheerleading and received a B.S. in Biology with the goal to attend medical school, but then she fell in love with the STOTT PILATES method and yoga. During her early years of teaching Pilates, she focused on the fitness aspect of teaching, and then was in a traumatizing motorcycle accident. She was left with a broken wrist, bruised ribs, and left knee pain. She used the Pilates method to strengthen the muscles around the knee, completely removing the pain, and recuperated her wrist to a full range of motion. This experience guided her into therapeutic Pilates. She has found on her own health journey that movement and breathwork are the keys to transforming physical and emotional health. Her method incorporates STOTT PILATES, 5Elements Yoga, ACE Personal Training and Booty Barre. She is a passionate advocate for the functional and aesthetic benefits that Pilates can bring to the human form. Her mission is to energize, lead with heart, provide good vibes, support, and motivate clients towards long-lasting optimal health and happiness.
Ashlin does privates, semi-privates and group classes.
